We are on rt. 93 in Northern Stark . Are these injection wells for old Clinton wells or new Utica wells

The well in Northern Stark was drilled to a depth of around 4000' or so. I don't know how long the horizontal lateral was. I will have to look that up again on the odnr site. I will also check on the well on state rte 93. It appears there is going to be another well just North of the rte 93 site by maybe 1/8 of a mile on the opposite side of rte 93. I have also noticed the same Dominion sign at probably a mile or so from those two on S. Main st next to Nimisila reservoir. There sure is a lot of activity in the area from Dominion. They are currently doing a lot of directional boring in the area and installing gas line.

This area is part of Dominion's (East Ohio Gas) underground gas storage field.  Maybe the new wells are additional gas storage wells.  Gas is injected into the reservoir from May to October.  Gas is produced from November to April.  The storage field produces about 500 MMcf/d during the withdrawl season.

Thanks Big Driller, I looked it up last night and they are permitted as storage wells.
