Comment by Nancy Mosley on October 7, 2011 at 2:04am Erin, when I looked it up I only saw 3 in the time since January 2010. However, they can't apply for a permit until they have the lease in place.
Do you live in Doddridge County? If so, you could go to the courthouse and look up the leases recorded to that company and see what they say. Also get a copy of the deed where your husband's father or other ancestor bought the property, to see just what your family owns.
This might be a good time to get acquainted with the cousins.

You could go to this website
http://apps.dep.wv.gov/oog/permitsearch_new.cfm
and put in Doddridge for the county and Antero for the company and choose the last year or 2 to see what the company has been doing.
It would be a good idea to try to get a copy, if you don't have it, of your husband's ancestor's deed for the property.
