I have met with them several times, been to there office in Williamsport and my friend has been to there Denver office. They are for real and have long term industry experience. I would be happy to give my thoughts and ideas to anyone interested. There proposal is to be your representiitve and assist in negotiating some deals for land owners. Let me know if I can help with any concerns you may have before you call them back.
I got their letter which in not a contract. It looks like they want the royalties above 15%
Like I said i can't find enough information about them to do business with them.

Hi Jay;
What is your interest in all of this business, if you don't mind my asking? I got this offer as well today. Eventually, all kinds of offers like this are going to come out of the wood work. i mean no offense, but it is important to know who might be reccomending what and for what reasons. Brian, hope things are well. Can you send me an email address, I asked Jack Overstreet some of these questions that have been floating around and I'd like to forward his responce to you. I think these guys are for real and I know they have leased the office in Wmspt for 1 year. I have put up about 350 acres with them and we'll see how they perform, not alot of risk.

Jay
I looked up nextenergyllc on a search engine and could not find them in Denver. The letter i got come from zip 68108 Zip Code (Omaha, Nebraska? The Office building address in Denver is not fully rented and you can get an virtual office there and or a mail box for 3 months. The address in Williamsport might be A1 shoe repair. according to my internet search.

I looked up the phone number 303.220.1154 I found Legacy Energy 4600 Ulster ST Ste 840
Nextenergy is in the same building with the same phone# , Suite 1225 I can't find much information about Legacy energy.

The letter they sent sounded very good I have dealt with landmen and i have a lease and royalties in texas. Their business plan sounds very good for someone like me but I need to be able to verify that they are real. If anyone has some way to verify that these people are real let me know.
Hello George, can you send me an email address, I'd like to forward some info I got from Jack Overstreet to you.

Hope all si well, Jay
I wonder what a company like Next Energy could do for us in Tioga County. I contacted all the companies working in northern PA, and the only ones working in central Tioga County are East and Ultra. The rep from Ultra told me that in Delmar Township they partner with East, so they offer the same lease.
It sounds to me like Jay might have a little more than an interest in helping people here. Why are you so fond of this company and what was the offer you signed for on your 350 acres. I am just curious to know what type od lease you ended up getting and how they were so helpful. How did they benefit for negotiating for you. What is going to come out of my end if they help me get a lease executed?
The concept of the website is to provide each other with info, I mentioned my thoughts on the company that people had questions about. Alot of people have forged ahead on there own and seem to have forgot that most of these gas guys have about 20 years more experience than us in the Marcellus area. I don't think any of us have left a conversation or chat on a website that we didn't feel like we have advanced our knowledge and wisdom in this industry. Take what you wish out of my comments, aligning with someone that has industry experience that only gets paid based on a percentage of the deal he brings to us is by far much better than signing your own deal with hundreds of loopholes that only experience will save you from down the road. Good luck and hopefully you learn a little more about Jay Alexander and who I am as time goes by. I am no better than anyone, but have made alot of friends based on helping people with what I can. Good luck in your minerals.
I have had a brief discussion over the phone with Jack Overstreet. I have looked over the business plan for his handling of large groups of land holders. I have recieved a top lease standard contract from his company that i have also looked over a bit. Personaly at this time, I do not think that i am interested in the top lease offer. Perhaps it is a generic copy that Next has offered to coal bed methane owners in Wyoming or other places. I am not sure. He was only offering $10 an acre if I read it correctly. i would not surrender ANY say that I might have in who leases, drills, or otherwise uses my land for such a small amount. I do believe that unleased landowners and people like myself who are dissatisfied with their current leases need to organize together to get a similat deal as has been offered in Bradford and other counties.
Mr. Overstreet claims to have lived and worked in Gillette, Wyoming in the coalbed methane play extensively. He has offered to send me names of landowners here in my area of Wyoming who might serve as references for Next Energy. I have not seen those names yet, but in his defense, very little time has elapsed. My wife (an atorney) have connections in Gillette. So far, the connections say not to get too enthiused about Mr. Overstreet's claims. I am still gathering and waiting on more information. This whole gas business is a learning process and if nothing else, exposure to companies like Next helps a person become more informed.
I would be happy to help in whatever way that I can to organize landowners of Tioga County.
Thank you Brian for keeping us all informed on this. We also received a letter from this company and I've tried to research in on the internet and couldn't find any solid information on this Co. so keep on posting your information...it is a big learning process your right about that!
My advice to any of you that have no experience with oil and gas is to spend the money for a good oil and gas attorney. Also I would not make any deals and would be wary of any company that you cannot find info on the Internet about. There are alot of free lance oil and gas people that are in it for a fast buck. The larger well established companies(Chesapeak,Cabot, etc) are and have been in this for the long haul.
Good luck on leasing and making a good deal.............
