What are the huge upright tanks

for over by the railroad rides just north of the route 6 junction/287?   I thought they were for storage of that white sand. But not I think they might be for new water or even for the contaminated refuse. there is about 8 or ten of them standing tall next to the railroad track.

Hi Bill.  Shell has plans for a couple of frack water recycling plants in the county.  Former East projects.  How long have those tanks been there?

 Bill I don't think sand would be stored in tall tanks it would probably pack and not move,I would think there for liquids water,oil or some type of condensates?

 I thought the tanks at the railroad yard were standing straight up not on there sides very tall maybe thats how they store them standing like that on end ?

I only Googled far enough to confirm that there is such a critter as a "sand silo that's used in fracking.   Here is a photo of vertical sand silos:

Your right Ann they are sand tanks the sand is drawn from the rail cars with high presure air vacum and blown into the top of the tanks,there gonna bring more tanks in and lay more track.We wont recognize that area in five years its the industrial park of the area.

I've not seen them go in after any well rig is down , in fact they are just piling up everywhere..They are massive. My husband is around pads all the time and he still has no clue where they are going.
