Things are heating up in Trumbull County and this is the place to talk about it. The Utica is looking more promising and, for better or worse, Trumbull County could be right in the middle of it.

Sage59, from what they told us in the meeting in Hartford, and in Vernon, they have been doing the work to clear up old leases, but contact Dave at SIF on this.
Has anyone gotten their lease check from Shale Investment Fund LLC yet. We signed in Jan. 30, 2012. Also when will the next meeting be. We were told we would be notified nothing yet. thank you Darlene
William, thanks for your comment. From what you heard. will Shale Investment Fund research old clinton well leases for people who sign up. Will they recommend what steps to take to clear an old lease. We are HPB, but there are some things in our lease that may leave an opening. For instance, our land can only be combined into an 80 acre drilling unit, and the well on our property has been capped and abandoned, but we have a few acres with another existing well. Thanks, comment would be welcomed by anyone. PS - We have another small piece with ALOV, but the FedEx trucks keep passing by. Rats.
Shale Investment Fund puts on a very educational presentation with slide show. We signed with them, and I must say I am happy we did, as I believe they offer the best deal. They are also very nice guys! I'm a believer!
I think their offer is fair, and anyone holding out for something better via a landowners group, is probably not going to get it. No, I don't work for SIF!
I signed with The Point Pleasant Landowner Group. I am letting them do the fighting for me. They say that the first deals are not in the favor of the landowner. I agree. I didnt like the BP offer because of all the deductions from the royalty payment. The Point Pleasant Landowners Group claims they will fight for a gross royalty payment for the landowner. I am giving them a try.
I heard that the Point Pleasant Landowner Group is having a landowner meeting at the VFW in West Farmington on Aug 16 at 6:30. I am looking forward to hearing about other options in Trumbull County.
I think the Bp contact in Ohio is Shale investment fund. I think they are the landmen for BP. Try contacting them instead of BP. Make sure you read the fine print in that lease.
Thanks James i will look there
Hey Tom, I have a number for David Greenwood in TX, but he will refer you to the OH program manager, that info was supplied on a label on the bottom of the mannila folder we were given on lease signing. Lease related questions, trumbull.ohio@bp.com, www.bputica.com
Does anyone know how to contact BP
yep

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
