I am a landowner that has studied this for 3 and half years and I am sharing what I learned about leasing over that timespan. Frankly, I know more than many lawyers in the area because I have had to explain things to several lawyers. I always tell people that I am not a lawyer and that they should find a good, experienced oil and gas attorney to help them and have them review all documents and not just one that reviewed a few of the old leases twenty years ago as this is an entirely different animal.

I also tell them my experience in getting a good lease, how I organized my neighborhood into a group, how Co-eXprise was successful at getting a solid lease at double the value of all previous offers.  Then I tell them this is their group, that they should get together, discuss all issues, and decide how they want to proceed.  They have the options to try to 1. get a lease individually, 2. to organize into their own group and hire an attorney if so desired, 3. go with some other group, 4. act as their own group and try to learn everything and negotiate together, 5. or to have Co-eXprise represent them. And I give them all the contact info so that they can communicate with each other and decide their course of action.

If you are so concerned, you are welcome to attend the next meeting. And even hand out business cards if you wish.
