Phil,

I just found this site and saw your questions.

That compressor station at Coffeys Crossing is a National Fuel Gas station. There is going to be a 24" line from there north to Mt. Pleasant Twp. The 20" line south was just finished. That is for what is called residue gas not well head.  The compressor station about 2.5 miles north (Markwest) is for well head gas. The Markwest station will be 1st or 2nd largest in US.

The Hanes pad is on Clarke Rd off of Pleasant valley. You can see access road but not pad. It was put in this spring and an old oil well was plugged. No drilling yet. The Breese pad is not in yet will be off of Timber Lake Rd. Also another pad was just approved "McDonough" off of Boone Rd. If you would like more detail e-mail me: tim_yc@msn.com

Oh and hello neighbor.

No PA does not have the Dormant Mineral Act as Ohio does.

Drilling is occuring in E. Finley as well as Avella, much more activity in Avella.

Can anyone tell me if Pennsylvania has something called "the 20 year rule?"  I heard this from an attorney in Ohio and apparently Ohio has this.  My understanding is this; if a OGM rights owner doesn't do anything with those rights for more than 20 years, doesn't own the land, the rights revert to the land owner.  Has anyone ever heard of this?  I've looked online and found nothing.   Another question:  I don't live in PA so I don't know some of these things but does anyone know of drilling, or possible drilling in the East Finley Twp. areas or in the Avella areas?

HI I have land in greene county but I would like to keep informed on washington becasue they are so close together. The key as i see it with the prices the gas company is willing to pay, is what it is going for inthe area...simple enough..BUT WE determine what its going for if we worked together, help get land units together and hold out for better deals. I know everyone has different needs and may have to do what they have to do...but knowledge is power and if we stick together, it wont be just the gas companies that gets a big check..we can too.. :)

Should I be worried if I have not been approached by a drilling company yet? I have 8 Acres off of Millers Run Road (Route 50) between Cecil and Hickory in Washington County. I have not heard from any drilling compaies yet, but I see drilling going on not very far away.
