With activity moving into Muskingum County and Licking County it is time for we the effected by the Utica Shale Play to be better informed. As I live on the Muskingum/Licking county border is the reason for the combination. The group will be free to separate if someone in Licking County wants to run a separate county.

Comment by Gary L on April 15, 2013 at 9:56am Billy, Three years ago I was talking to a pumper in Muskingum County about well productions. He told me that they hit a massive gas well near Glenford. He said it was in the Rose Run Formation and it's unbelievable. Would this card be that well? Anyway, thanks for the response and how is things going with you in the drilling business?
Comment by Billy Park Whyde on March 27, 2013 at 4:43pm Gary take a look at this if you would? WellSummaryCard.asp.htm%20Hebron.htm makes you wonder a bit don't it when that well was a vertical well!

Looking at Enervest recent lease in Muskingum County. They claim formations below top of the Black River Formation, down to, but not below 50 feet below the base of Rose Run Formation. I was under the understanding that lack of pressure is why drillers are leaving the area. Do you think the area still has potential for deeper production of oil ?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
