Comment by Samuel J. Orr on May 10, 2013 at 1:45pm The disappearance of this thread is outrageous. The thread was very informational and had no objectionable posts by anyone. Keith Mauck needs to get this thread restored intact and he needs to tell us how this happened. I can't imagine that he scrubbed the thread but who else could?? If the identity of the perpetrator can be learned, that person needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law! I am nearly computer illiterate but there must be an electronic footprint to identify the culprit. John Stanton III got this thread started and he has provided a lot of information and it has stimulated good input from others. Mr. Mauck, I await your prompt response. For the record, I doubt very much that you did this!
Comment by Samuel J. Orr on April 30, 2013 at 4:35pm Thanks Berk: My property is in Venango County.....unfortunately! But at least it is in the northwest quadrant of Venango County and only a few miles from the Mercer County line. Nevertheless, it is concerning that there have been no horizontal well permits issued to any O&G company for the entire year of 2013 thru April 30. I think that we all have to accept the fact that the geology for Mercer County must be better. I can't think of any other reason why there is so little activity thus far in Venango County.
Comment by markkot on April 30, 2013 at 3:21pm Berk, I wasn't able to open the 'docx', so in case Samuel, can't either I'll put them out.
Halcon: Greene - Gallagher (1), Otter Creek- Pilgram (2), and Salem- Stevenson (4)
Swepi: Lake- Shannon (5) and Perry - Mills (1)
I guess I don't have the program needed on my PC.

Comment by Samuel J. Orr on April 30, 2013 at 1:35pm Since January 1, 2013 Shell (SWEPI) has seven new permits for unconventional wells in Mercer County and Halcon has six! I do not know in what townships these permits are located but someone with a bit more computer savvy than I have should be able to post this information. J. R. Ewing, are you out there??

Comment by JREwing on April 30, 2013 at 5:36am Jodie, According to Halcon's 4/15 press release, they are supposed to test Allam soon. "Early May" is what the statement said. The rumor mill is confirming the same thing, possibly even this week. Unfortunately, we still might not know for months how it did.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
