Got the lease paperwork from the Landman. Understand some, but not all of it.

I am guessing I got the cookie cutter "Paid Up Oil and Gas Lease" I did get an addendum added no surface operations. Anything else I should try to have added? If anyone wants to see the lease, I can scan it and post it.

Actually, has anyone ever posted a lease on here before?? I'd like to see if mine is the same.

Is the lease with East? Most of the addendums people want have to do with drilling on your property, so with the no surface use clause, they wouldn't be needed. I'd make sure that them putting in a pipeline is a separate operation and requires written permission (and maybe more $$).

Yes, the lease is with East. I will look into adding the pipeline info. I feel I am getting a fair deal, they are bringing electric down the road which is saving me $8,000 in poles and wires.

I would still get a lawyer........for the money you pay..........it is well worth the piece of mind you would get out of it. There is some tricky wording in some of these leases
