I think that the oil company that is holding our oil rights on production may be falsifying their production. Is there a way to check that?

John what kind a well utica , clinton and how long on production
It is two Berea Sand wells with one holding each parcel of land we have and we think it is dry and it appeared that was the case because the previous company reported no production for about 3 years, this was about 10 years ago. Suddenly another company acquired the lease and suddenly both wells recovered. The company also refuses to provide us with free gas.
John get a copy of your lease at the county recorders office , check to see if you have right to free natural gas
You might wish to contact both the ODNR and the office of the Ohio Attorney General.
They might sort matters out for free.
Otherwise, I suggest that you might need to enlist the services of an Attorney with experience in Oil & Gas law.
Acreage HBP (held by production) is very valuable to those who can claim to hold the lease. A little money can make so people do some nasty things; a lot of money will entice a lot of people to do some very nasty things.
Good luck, and please let us know how things turn out.
We are here to learn.
All IMHO,
JS
I already have a copy of the lease and production numbers and we are entitled to have free gas provided to one dwelling unit that is produced in the wells. We have built a dwelling unit and they have stalled etc over the last several years when asked for free gas. The royalty checks have totaled about $150/year which we haven't cashed for the last couple years.
John are you sure the well is producing ? Check the pressure guages at the well and at the well battery
I need to do that maybe this weekend, we really question if they are producing at all.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
