Shell Oil leased 65,000 acres + way back in october in guernsey county .giving bank drafts for signing bonus that were to be funded in 120 business days. I"ve been hearing reports that some folks are now actually getting their $$$$.   True or false?  Only  less than a handfull of wells have been drilled, but The fracking company that bought property here is now moving equipment in here big time. looks like they are getting ready for holes in the shale real soon!  Guerney county is reported to be setting on some of the "wettest" of the utica shale. The next 3/4 years could be crazy around here!

Hopefully the ability to make a good living with decent wages might just be the end of the drug war in the area.

where are these reports? I would love to see them. and am very happy for the folks in Guernsey!

Hey Bo,

I cant speak specifically for the ones who signed with Shell, but Gulfport held a signing during the same time period & I know a couple of folks have received payment from them.  You may wanna check out the actual Gue. Co. group for more info.  Those of us who signed with Gulfport have been communicating somewhat regularly on the thread titled KWGD meeting (or actually I believe it may have been mis-titled initially as KWDG).  But there are a few of the folks that signed with Shell that post on the wall of the forum as well.  Can you divulge which company it is that bought land here & where they are located?  I have been noticing some activity just down the road from me & I have been wondering if it was something in relation to the O&G industry...

The company is GOFRAC ,I Think, Some are saying it's actually Halliburton under a different name. They have been moving frac trucks, equipment & frac tanks into their property where Columbus Equipment was. Just west of Cambridge on Rt. 40. One day, about a week ago,the whole lot was filled with brand new tanks & trucks. Now ;most are gone,or inside the buildings,or out on well sites. More are rolling in daily. They have requested a local excavating co. bring fill to make the lot much larger. More frac tanks that could be from a different co. are piling up @ the Dewey Ave lot on the west end of town.    The reports of people getting paid by Shell were word-of-mouth. One guy said He got his Shell $$$  while pointing at his new truck during a visit to a local business. As I say; it"s all he said/she said at this point.

I signed with Shell back in October and I have not recieved my signing bonus yet.But the 120

business days wont be up until mid April. GoFrack was taking applications in Cambridge back in

December and looks like they are ready to roll.

Zanesville cut a deal with Haliburton for a Facility to be built there on the east side of Zanesville, see

I hope that you will join the Guernsey County group.

We signed with shell back in Jan 2012 and haven't got paid yet. We have tried to contact several people but no one will return my call or email . The only thing I was told was I'm not on the list. But no one tells me what list. Or if I can even get on it. I'm just wondering if any one out the has any idea of where I should turn now. My land is in guernsey county. In wills township. Thank for any info.

We signed back in 2012 too with the original coalition of 65,000 acres and were given the same and our bank draft expired before they did our title search then they wanted us to sign another one where they searched title first then if clear they would issue a 45 day bank draft after that but my sisters bankrupcy got in the way and just got settled now i have to start all over again! My land is in Madison Township Guernsey County and over the past couple years have been told by numerous people in the industry that this area is very good, originally we were in the oil only window now they say we are in the rich condensate area who knows i just want to get leased LOL by the way we have 3.34 acres its too bad because we had a very good lease and a lawyer handled it for everyone, i have heard some got paid some didnt i know the land right next to us got paid! by the way we were offered 5000 and 20% gross and got an offer from Carizzo a while back for 5500 and 20% who knows what it is now? LOL

My property is located in Knox township, do not know of anyone leasing that far west? The Devon pad is there but they are getting out of the Utica, going to sell to someone I am sure.
