Just curious...
I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

Permalink Reply by paleface on October 8, 2013 at 4:32am I think if Shell didn't drill the C Gee well in Middlebury they probably would be selling Tioga also, but they drilled it and it is a homerun, that well changed Shells plans for Tioga county.

Permalink Reply by David.M.Fackleman on October 8, 2013 at 8:17am Shell rep. was at the house last week with a check in his hand ($300 per acre and we own 3 1/2) I wasn't home but my wife talked to him. Sounded like that offer is as high as they are willing to go. Wife asked him about a cutoff date for an answer, and he told her by law they just can't break the lease without contacting you first with a final take it or leave it offer. He left with the check in hand.
Permalink Reply by paleface on October 8, 2013 at 11:04am On September 10, 1930, the gas well on Luther Palmer farm in Farmington Township was drilled in to start the great Tioga County gas boom. The well was a gusher, producing 13 million cubic feet a day for North Penn gas co. That would have been a vertical and no hydraulic fracturing. Sources Wellsboro Agitator Sept. 17, 1930; Dec.3, 1930 and Dec. 4, 1929 North Penn gas co. pipeline map.
Permalink Reply by Brian Day on October 8, 2013 at 3:02pm One reason Shell doesn't plug wells is that they hold acerage very cheaply by HBP. Until, Pa. sets a limit and definition on HBP, Shell can contol a lot of acerage for a pitance until they feel like drilling deeper.
Permalink Reply by paleface on October 13, 2013 at 2:55am I heard there is another rig in the area,Middlebury,Chatham, trying to find out which pad it went to.
Permalink Reply by Ann Ticopa on October 13, 2013 at 3:26am There were August premits for Watkins 820 (Chatham) and Fish 826 (Middlebury).
Permalink Reply by Brian Day on October 13, 2013 at 2:57pm I've heard of a possible new well up near Gurney, southwest of the Neil pad. What direction are these horizontals going in, toward the state forest land?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
