Cat and Fair MKTValue Being from Venango Co. do not have all the info. How ever do try to follow all cases in this area as we had a similar case in our area. First challenge Delaware River 501c looks very questionable. Second it is my understanding this case was challenged and ruled in favor of Rex, If this is the case than Delaware River and the Mars Parent group need to be held financial responsible for cost incurred by leased landowners and Rex Energy. Make them anti up called escrow accounts for when they loose the appeal landowners and Rex can recover expenses. Depends on the area minerals can be valued anywhere from $10,000.00 to 24,000.00 per acre, over the life of a well, for one strata. Good luck!!!
Yesterday, the anti's filed their appeal in Butler County to the Middlesex Twp. zoning decision. No surprise there. Not sure if that will stop the activity at the Geyer well or not.
I just drove by today and the wall is up. Will get interesting with all these lawsuits going on in this township.
You hit the nail on the head Matthew. There are a few articles I posted above as well as others about the leaseholder's lawsuit.
It's always "we are willing to talk but only if you tell us what we want to hear"
I wanted to pm you Matthew so I requested to be your friend.
This article has nothing to do with drilling but another farm being sold to build a housing development on 228. So much for that rural area especially since the Anti-drillers are always complaining that they moved to this area because it was so rural.

This is great....the anti's also throw out there they don't want the truck traffic, noise, dust, exhaust etc from well site activity but are totally fine with living in a housing plan that has this same traffic directly in front of their house for a longer period of time then its going to take for them to drill, complete, and tie in the wells on the pad, (in a perfect world all three operations should take a few months depending on how many wells they are drilling on the pad) Operators have reduced the amount of days it takes to drill a lateral from surface to bottom hole. So all in all the activity on the pad could all be done and over with by the time school is in session. Then once school starts back up in Sept they would only have well tenders going out the site.
But I totally agree that the moment someone pushes back for their rights to have their land developed, its like "how dare you"

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
