The majority of those in our unit have not received their February royalty checks from Statoil - unit is in Springfield Township, Bradford County. Have contacted Statoil, but of course no response. Is anyone else experiencing this same problem?

Permalink Reply by EME on March 19, 2015 at 1:55am Have been told by different lawyers that the "Division Orders" should never be signed and not required in PA!
I sent an email to royalty@statoil.com and finally got a response yesterday, response below. My mineral rights are in Harrison county, wv.
"According to our records, Statoil has not been allocated any gas for 12/14 and 1/15, therefore, no revenue has been booked. We did however, back out the payments for 11/14 gas that you received on your Dec. check. It appears that we were not allocated any gas after-all and paid owners in error. This placed your account in a debit balance of -$724.17. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused."
Permalink Reply by sircedric on March 11, 2015 at 2:13am Wow, you got a reply. I e-mailed same address 3 times with no reply. Maybe sense they don't owe you any money and they owe us thousands, there is a difference. Has anyboby else ever got through?

Permalink Reply by Linda Joyce Zickefoose on March 12, 2015 at 2:00am Good luck on your division order. It took me 3 months before I got my first check. Now they don't seem to be paying at all. No payment for February and haven't received my check for March which normally arrives by the 1st. of the month. This concerns wells in Upshur County West Virginia. Let us know if you hear of the problem. They do not return calls or answer e-mails. What is the purpose of having a Owner Relations Department if the only information received is their own "good news"

Permalink Reply by Linda Joyce Zickefoose on March 12, 2015 at 11:18am Our wells were drilled in year 2010. Payments from Statoil have been fairly consistent until now.
Chesapeake has been more of a problem in paying than Statoil. Once we were able to have our Chesapeake checks deposited directly into our bank, most everything has gone smooth with them. Statoil told my wife 2 weeks ago that Statoil would be using direct deposit by March 13. She didn't actually say what year!!!. We can't find any information on this from Statoil reports. I do believe the oil and natural gas industry will find ways to not pay what the royalty owners are entitled to and delay our payments so they can use our money for what ever benefits them. That's OK, I would just like to remind them of the class action suit Chesapeake paid back in 2010 for improper payments. It is public record if any one should like to know more about it.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
