We are currently assembling our groups of landowners in Belmont/Monroe Counties. Our first group is an estimated two thousand acres and growing. Depending on the location of your property, it may or may not be marketable presently, but I suggest not signing any of these rediculous leases for which many people are getting taken in by the front companies and land men. The large companies are also getting these leases too cheap then reselling. One landowner I am familiear with in WV, and now getting a well drilled, had his lease sold three times between the time he leased and the time the well site prep work began. It is a shame people cannot or do not look forward or become knowledgeable of the situaiton before they act. I am guessing that ten years from now, many who leased for a few thousand dollars per acre, as well as those who did not have someone knowledgeable of the facts look at their contract, will be very, very sorry. The future for this and others areas is going to change significiantly in the upcoming years and many people will likely become very wealthy, as well as having an economic boost for several states.
