Absolutely true, Ann.  We couldn't even keep a farmers market going in Wellsboro; many people here think that 'local' produce should be half the price of whats in the store...they wouldn't even consider paying for…

just for your information, I just heard that governer Rendell will be at the tioga county courthouse tomorrow to meet with commissioners to discuss the proposed gas well taxes.  I dont know this for sure, but its worth checking out... anybody with information please add to thisthank youSee More

there are several wells by seneca that are on line and my neighbors are recieving royalties... coming from the detweiler wells and the wivel and pino wells... they are all my neighbors!!!! also there are a few east wells in the whitneyville area…

they go all directions... like spokes on a wheel, each horozontal well is drilled independent of the other wells on a pad, and are determined by the geologist....and info is not released until the well is in production... be patient... the gas…

I think that the people coming into this area for gas need the community support and a warm and honest welcome to our beautiful mountains....

Hi Susan,
Thanks for introducing yourself. I, too, am local, and have a local business that's working a lot with the Marcellus Shale gas development. I enjoy the economic benefits, and feel its nice to be a part of ensuring that it happens in a way that protects our environment.
