At the end of 2010 and beginning of 2011, there was a joint effort group lease in several Western Pa. counties. Does anyone know how this ended?

I believe that it is done - finished.  No word after the big "announcement coming in two weeks".  It's too close to the end of the year and would be too rushed to get checks out to everyone.  I believe that it's not happening...............

I have called every aggregater involved in the deal...nobody has returned one call the past 60 days. That is very dissapointing, but not suprising. I do have one contact that told me that an offer would be made to all landowners on the 15th,16th, or 17th of November. I guess we will see if this source was correct or misinformed...this week.

I just received a offer from XTO last week.  So who knows maybe they know a deal is not happeining at this point.  I'm guessing they could see the lease at the court house and know that I am tied up until Dec. 31 but a offer still was sent out with payment with in 60 days.  Offer was around 3200/15% etc... If the Snyder thing falls through I still don't think I am signing for the above amount.  From what I am hearing the offers are going to go up after the first of the yr and I will wait until someone gets to at least 4k/acre which is more than reasonable at this point.

I still think something is brewing with the Snyder deal with all the hush hush going on.  If nothing happens and everyone is not told/updated come the end of the month that is down right wrong - there should be updates even if they are something of the nature " we are still working hard to land a sale/deal".  I believe Mike wants to give updates but from his previous post he gets slammed for any post he makes on here is why there hasn't been more from him.  With Jasper dangling some bait here and there Mike replies but still it's nothing of any great information which again he is not allowed to say I believe.  We waited this long so what another 6 weeks.  Heck I plan on waiting longer to see where this goes as I stated above as the only reason I signed in on the Snyder group deal is there minimum is the very least I will take and being a 10yr lease it should be way above the minimum in there lease and the 15% this thing I thought and still feel should be very attractive to some one that wants in for the long haul with a ton of acreage.  Again the Snyders are sitting nice either way and even though they have a bunch of expenses with title work etc... tied up in this they are not going to give this away and don't be suprised if behind closed door bs is going on with lets give everyone that signed on less but we want X amount.  That would be a total slap in the face to everyone (aggregater) involved but they still would be getting there minimum.

SB.................you could very well be right. The lack of any information to the partners in this deal (us) leaves everything open to speculation. They need to keep us informed. Until nofified otherwise, there is no deal. I would plan accordingly. In six weeks, all acreage in the "Leasehold Sale" will be free and clear. I will not sign another extension. The lack of information from our business partner is reason enough not to do so.

Agree Keith E.  The absence of any information begs for many to speculate. Some will speculate that "no news is good news" and others will say "it ain't happening." I have decided to relax and just see what happens.  A letter of update in the mail or a personal email would have been appreciated every couple of months since this is a once in a lifetime thing for many. I suppose the task to update everyone would include many, many landowners and be administratively cumbersome...and if any decent specifics were released, the story would most likely become modified or changed or corrupted and start a chain of more and more questions.  A surprise "Christmas" in late 2011 would still be nice but it appears that the clear majority of interest is in Ohio right now.

STILL NO WORD..............

This is the longest 2 weeks I have ever witnessed??  Maybe I forgot to set my clocks to the right date and time a few weeks ago?

Abandon all hope all who enter here...............

Mr. Knapp posted this on the front page of his website today:

11/22/11 2011 Leasehold Sale Update:

We apologize to all of our Lessors for our silence on the status of the sale.  It is a necessary evil when negotiating a large sale like this.  At this stage in the game we still cannot divulge any particulars, but the deal is most certainly NOT dead.  As soon as we are able to comment publicly, all landowners will receive an update. Keep checking back frequently.

I would love to hear record numbers come back just in time for the holiday season for everyone involved.  I truly hope the Snyders, Mike and all the aggregaters involved come back with not just good news "great news".  From the time I was a little kid  I have heard  " good things come to those who wait ".  Hope this is true for everyone involved here.   Everyone have a good Thanksgiving and enjoy the time with your family and loved ones.

31 days to go and no show.............

Not as of yet but all kind of rumors flying around.  Where there are rumors there is usually some truth.  So sit back and let see how the next 4 weeks pan out.   I would offer the info. of what I just heard a few days ago but again at this point rumors - lets just say some sold - other parts the seller gained a partner etc.... who knows time will tell.  Hope for the best.

Yes, it would be nice but I'm a realist.  This has gone on for so very long and all that we have heard is that "the deal is certainly not done".  It was fun, good luck to all..................
