Met with a few people today with Des.  I'm not going in details on here, but i stongly encourage anyone that is unsigned to go to his meetings this week.  The first is at Union Local Tuesday night.  Personally, I don't care who brings the contract to the table or how much this person will make off of any agreement, as long as the lease is there for all of us to maximize our opportunity to capatilize on this gold mine.

So SG already signed, has their members got their checks???  Why not open up to everyone?  Numbers are flying everywhere on this site, what was their per acre and royalty?? Was it a gross or net?  Not asking for you to give up details, just the simple facts that I can find out on the streets(if I felt like spending the time)

The group WAS open to everyone in Belmont. The group has been open to Smith, Goshen and adjacent townships for over a year. It opened to the entire county back around Labor Day. I believe membership closed so the group could give prospective bidders a confirmed acreage package to bid on.  The building phase is done and it is time to move forward with the process.

As far as private meetings.....it never was private.  A bunch of landowners contacted Des, wanted more information as we all do.  Des was more than willing to meet with us.  I have emailed him a few times, and he always responded right away.  He gives out his phone number....has anyone ever tried to call him???  I don't know about Monroe for sure, but we will ask tonight.

no kidding, thought maybe someone would have somthing to say.  anyway, i saw his invitation for monroe and i don't think there was a firm offer yet.  would love to hear from someone who went last night.

Likely Conoco-Phillips or Chevron or Exxon (XTO) based solely on the size mentioned.

Maybe or maybe not, but at least we didn't sign with Chesapeake....with the announcement the other day of major downsizing!!!!!!!!!

Got a link to that announcement? I haven't read that one yet.

Hello everybody , i was at the meeting t Union Local and it was public so there is nothing secret , he said $5100 and 20% ,

company 15 times larger than chesapeake .

he did mention he has 120,000 acres under his group

Something more about this company owns a lot of pipelines and will be installing more .

no company name was mentioned publicly .

More talk by financial advisors Warther than anything else .

As Rich said leasing will start soon and you can sign his form with no obligation to stay with him or to sign the deal .

That was about it . Mick

I attended Des’s meeting last night He announced a deal completed for Monroe county & all I can say for sure is I just don’t know, The announced deal completed for Monroe county is $4,900 & 20% Gross royalty, He said the money has been agreed on, the Lease has been agreed on & my commission has been agreed upon. If this were the first time I’d be dancing a jig. But I walked away not sure if this is any different than the last time that he had a deal & nothing came of it! Sounds like the same old song, I have a deal but give me some time. cant belive he would stand up there & tell us I have a deal after the last 3 times without a shred of paper to show us.

He said it’s on the CEO’s desk for his signature and he’s flying in to meet with me on Monday. He said my attorneys been talking to his attorneys & that’s the problem we need to be talking. That doesn’t sound like a completed deal. I always thought that until all the signatures are on the paper and it’s notarized it’s not a deal.

I got an update from a friend that attended the Belmont meeting he said Des has a done deal signed sealed & delivered, there were no leases to review but he said probably would have for the Woodsfield meeting,  I made special arrangments & a long drive to be there, but again There were no leases to review at our meeting. He said the deals done but just finalizing some wording and would get us leases to review in a couple weeks. I’m sorry that does not sound like a done deal to me?

I’m wondering why we had the meeting at all to tell us again that we have an almost deal but just wait! Why not do that in an e mail, the best bet is after past deals falling apart why not wait till the ink is on the paper & do people still shake on a deal If so then the hands have been shook. Then announce here’s the deal, here is the lease, and we will start closing on this date. My Mom always taught me never count your chicks before they hatch.

So I sit here wondering is this over or not? All I know at this point  is I've been disapointed before and I’m not putting all my eggs in one basket, if while I’m waiting if another deal comes along with another group or even with a company direct that is better, the same or even close I’m going to take that deal rather than sit here for 2 to 4 weeks and be disappointed again.

Mick did u sign his form with no obligation ?

Tom , I attended the meeting because I was invited to do so .and I just passed on what I observed for the benefit of those who were unable to hear what was said.

I was just curious? had no agenda honest
