Looks like Josh is on the loose again...

House Republicans directed Capitol Hill police to detain a highly regarded documentary crew that was attempting to film a Wednesday hearing on a controversial natural gas procurement practice. [...]

Josh Fox, director of the Academy Award-nominated documentary "Gasland" was taken into custody by Capitol Hill police this morning, along with his crew, after Republicans objected to their presence, according to Democratic sources present at the hearing.

ty that was probably the hardest comment I have ever put to words without using military language. lol grrr

Here we go again.  The gas is not being exported overseas.  There is one LNG export facility and it is located at the tip of Alaska.  There is no pipeline to get our gas from the lower 48 to this facility.  The first LNG export facility (Cheniere) is being converted from an import facility to an export facility.  This conversion is not expected to be complete until 2014 at the earliest, but it's looking more like 2015.  When it IS converted, and combined with the other two export facilities - if approved, the gas they will export will amount to less than 2% of our daily production.  However, what it will mean is that we will actually have an exportable commodity, making us a player in the world market again! (and I do apologize for being repetitive with some other's comments.  I hadn't read ahead enough when I made mine.)

Sherry,

You know that if you insist on using facts to back up your argument, the enviro-nuts will just take their ball and go home. Facts are stubborn things.

Those pesky facts again. Funny how every time facts are presented, the fractivists just disappear. Facts must be like a magic potion or something.

Update from Politico...as if we needed to give him more of a platform!

Emily,
Stating that people are dying because of fracing is an irresponsible statement. Do explain further!

Instead of getting rid of him, it seems they're making a martyr out of him.

Fox says he applied for credentials to film the day before, but permission was denied (I don't know what reasons were given).  Apparently it is routine for such permission to be granted, when an event is uncrowded, as this one was.

A video of the arrest itself:

His behavior seems non-disruptive to me.

A longer video of the hearing after the arrest, which shows a disturbingly pro-gas opening statement from Andy Harris (R-MD), the subcommittee chairman:

http://science.house.gov/hearing/energy-and-environment-subcommitte...

The bias evident in Harris' opening statement, the contemptuous tone with which Harris dealt with objections from Democratic members of the subcommittee, and the fact of Fox's arrest make me quite suspicious of the work of this subcommittee.

A petition to protest the arrest of Josh Fox:

I'm all for the truth being told by the media. But honestly IF you believe everything that this wacko puts out you have bigger problems in life than drilling and fracking.

I got this from my Atty. in Mercer.

Read below before signing any silly petition.

These are John Hangars words in First Person tense, also worth noting, this artice was effectively scrubbed from all search engines. Try to find it yourself.

Have fun.

Thanks for fixing the link Finny

I don't like dog poop, just the freedom to use what is mine anyway I want, or not at all.

Josh Fox and his 7th grade A-V class film project are a Fraud.
