Hi everyone,
I work for a TV/Film production company based in NYC and am working on a Japanese TV documentary on shale gas production (pros and cons) in the US for Japanese version of PBS.
In one of the segment we wish to cover a landowner(s), in Pennsylvania, who leased a part of his/her land to a energy company and received millions dollar check that has changed the life.
If you purchased a new luxury house and/or a new luxury car and/or paid back your debt and/or anything like that, hit me up with your experience at 212-966-1700 or omori@zazou-prod.com.
The shooting will be just for a few hours between July 17th and August 2nd. We'd be happy to travel wherever you are located in PA.
*Some compensation will be considered.
Thank you!!
Yukari Omori

Hi Yukari...
you said in your discussion post ...the cons also. You aught to follow up on this couple ....as if they win they will set a new precedence for lease contracts across the nation regarding the problem of gas drilling companies not producing but finding ways to hold land in units without doing horiz. drilling.... the article states 2dollars per acre but I think it actually was a misprint...it is 25 an acre is what I heard. True story...
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/07/23/ap-enterprise-lowball-gas-dril...
http://www.lexisnexis.com/community/emergingissues/blogs/oilgasande...
there are more stories like this...than there are of millionares... and the focus on their plight of having to deal with extended leases and losing out on the production also....while enduring the 'flaring' of natural gas of wells that were put in only to hold a lease...not to produce revenue..
this story needs told.
btw...in your country of Japan, can the average citizen own land and if so can they collect 'gas/oil royalties?' pls do tell us in your discussion here...it would be interesting to know.
Pls do not just focus on the great monies that the average USA landowner makes....as it isn't true for many that have already done leases. It is best that the Japanese understand it isn't all 'pie in the sky' to eat and be happy. Some of the gas/oil companies took advantage of the landowners in their ignorance and then sold the leases for profits well above what they paid...leaving them with a lease perhaps indefinitely without an option for any decent royalty.
we aren't like this in America yet ...where everyone is happy and the technology is great....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6Tj8unidng&feature=related
so if the Japanese only saw how rich the Americans are getting from the shale so that they want to invest in our shale also....for money....not even the Americans that have the leases have so much...but there are some that really have profited..
and if production gets going again...there will be more Americans to enjoy the leases more.
Yukari,
Please forgive the previous post from USA landowner. She is neither a Pennsylvania resident as you solicited, nor has she received a lease bonus check that changed her life. She isn't much on spelling either... again please disregard her response. If you would like to contact me via an e mail I would be more than happy to provide you with some names and contact information for Pennsylvania residents that did in fact receive oil and gas lease bonus checks that were life altering events. I will send you a "friend invite" which will allow us to correspond via private e mail.
Actually... I appear to be somewhat inept at figuring out how to privately provide you with my e mail information. If you would not mind providing your e mail contact information as a reply to this I will be happy to contact you via e mail.
I can not believe Jacque thinks he has all of everybody's info on their transactions and to be able to tell their stories.
USA is just pointing out some REAL facts for REAL people as she has learned.
It does not matter where USA is from OR her business interests!
The point is, another opinion was stated and for you to discredit her is discusting to me.
You are such a freaking moron... I don't have "everybody's info"... I only have information on those lessors that I actually personally handed checks to and I don't intend to "tell their stories" I will only provide Yokari with these lessor's name and phone numbers. USA wishes to hijack any and every conversation. I merely advised Yokari that I have specific information with respect to what she actually asked for...as opposed to asking Yokari questions.... not providing her with the information she asked to be provided.
How about you mind your own business...and by the way...it is spelled... "disgusting", not discusting.
thank you JK...nice to see a normal member here that is interested in following the group's rules of conduct....certainly not a moron as mentioned above. BTW Jacque...the email address for Yukari is in the discussion post, helps to read that also.
I only gave out a link to a newspaper article...not someone's personal phone number and lease information.....
.....so I will leave it at the fact that I was only contributing info for Yukari to have regarding some that have leased and were very disappointed. I had come across that online when doing this discussion about lower royalties...

thank you again JK ....
Ignore Mr . Phony aka jock strap .
That's not his name and we are fueling his BS .
He will go away like he's had to all his life because of his an inferior complex .
This place is in " his twisted " is where he can be some one rather than the boy who all ways got picked on and his head ended up in a toilet .
As far as PBS -- GO FLY A KITE -- you really think that we believe you ?
Like PBS is going to do a fair article on us .
It will end up with dead birds floating on a pond .
When PBS starts calling out whats this administration is doing to our FREE country I will reconsider .
Mr . Phony aka jock is just the person you have been looking for , he'll tell you just what you want to hear !
Yo...doofus (Time Will Tell what I want it to tell). The lady stated that it was a "Japanese version of PBS"... not THE Japanese affiliate of PBS, they are in no way connected to America's PBS. Why don't you actually rant about something that is actually factual.
I'm truly glad that you can find yourself amusing...in ways other than your locked bedroom with a Kleenex and a bottle of lotion. You go boy.... I really gotta hand it to you. Oh wait, you already handed it to yourself... OOPS
SGI , all anyone has to say is NPR-- National Liberal Radio and you can count me out !
They are so far left it's pathetic .
They left already owns the media and shouldn't be taking up homestead here .
That's all we need is a foreign counties opinions of the good and bad of OUR shale play
REALLY !!!
They can stick to making cars and motorcycles !
SGI , I'm not saying the J word , I was talking to you .Your post are are funny .
Yukari,
I believe you would be best served by making contact here with those who are not intentionally incognito. In this region, there is a strong tendency for those who spew hate and hidden agendas to do so without identifying themselves by hiding behind a make believe image on the internet. The silent majority here will be more than willing to lay down the facts. You will find many here who have harvested their land's bounty who can give you an honest account, a few here who soap box the most behind closed doors, must come out before I would place any credit on what they say.
As far as myself and my company (Ohio Land Management), when it comes to business, my clients and I would not be interested in disclosing publicly any of our business.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
