Have you received an offer to buy your minerals? What State/County/Township are you in?

I'm in Ohio/Noble/Marion and continue to receive offers.  14 so far by mail, and another arrived yesterday.  Post your information and I'll draw a map of "mineral interest".    Have your offers increased, remained constant, or stopped coming?  Just curious, and it might be fun.  Thanks.

I'm in PA/Wyoming/Lemon - We generally get three or more letters per year, over the past two years with offers to buy the mineral rights. The latest (this week) actually specified the amount of money they were offering and this bunch was specifically targeting anyone with royalties of 20% or more plus they are offering MORE per acre than we originally got.  There is also a confidentiality clause, so I will not name the company asking to buy our mineral rights .  No dice, though.  We're gonna wait and see how some things pan out in the overall scope of things.

leigh, that confidentiality clause only applies if you agree. it's b.s. anyway.

the company is mineral acquisition company, or "mac".

it is a partnership between chk and kkr and that's how they know that you have a 20%R. I think that they're trying to take out the 20%ers to lower the royalty burden.

at least since it's chk, you know that your area is gonna do ok.

Thanks, Jim.  I had a feeling they were only targeting the 20% -ers because the area was going to make a few bucks.

The geologist/hydrologist that we had do our private water sampling said we (meaning at least the northwestern part of Wyoming County) were positioned over the mother-lode.  And I am seeing a lot  more wells popping up in the area all around us almost as fast as the darned dandelions.

Who is kkr?  Are they a holding company of some sort?

theyre an investment company. same company that kept east resources afloat until they sold out to shell.

Leigh, actually they are targeting the whole area, not just the higher royalties.  We received offers from the same outfit and our lease is a boilerplate with12.5% royalty.  The latest offer was for $5K/acre. We are in Lemon twp. also.

Ohio, Noble County, Olive Twp. $9,333.33 per mineral acre. Royalty 15% at well head, period.

Mitchell,  Was that price for a 1/8th HBP acre?  Thanks

At 9K/acre....I'd be a seller of some......

At 9k I'd sell it all but I'm in Mahoning county

Mitchell:   Could you clarify? Is your land held by an existing well?   Is someone offering to buy your minerals or lease your property?   Thanks.   Consol is drilling to the east of you just north of Fulda.

I have two tracs, one leased with CNX, the other re-negoiated (with legal help) old lease with Enervest.  Current ODNR shows 21 acres of one tract in plotted well just east of I-77.  There is an existing well on that tract that was paying about $60.00 a year.  Have total of appx 150 acres leased. Offer was for 15% of all of the above acreage, or 22 net mineral acres for purchase, not lease. I've been on this site since being offered $50.00 an acre about two years ago, well maybe not on this site.  Had never heard of Marcellus till then, and now it's Utica, and next week it will be something else.  I joined a group, that was the turning point for me.
