I posted this question to the members of USA, but I'd like to know how the GMS membership feels ?

I will send the results to the Governor, President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, and appropriate committees.

Answer this thread yes or no, or send me a PM.

Thanks,  Mark

No,  Robin Hood Goverment does not work.  We need a common sense Governor not a traitor. Unfortunatley common sense & Government don't get together often enough.     Chico

No! Now the proposal is to take a 4.5% tax and give 25% of it back to 33 counties through their development agencies. HUH? We already pay multiple taxes on this windfall. Raise it a little, ok, but only if 100% goes to the County Commissioners where it originated and to the ODNR to oversee the process. NONE to reduce Ohio income tax. That is socialism and just plain wrong, no matter which party you belong to. The Governor seriously insulted us when he stated that all landowners should have gotten a lease that required the O&G company to pay all taxes that originate at the well. That is not a possibility. Many of the leases are old, written before this all came about.

Your question is also too broad. Do I support a severance tax? Yes, we already have one. Do I support the newly proposed INCREASE in the severance tax? NO!!

No..........................

I vote no.Let them use the money off the state parks and such that they sold to the oil companies. That we as tax payers pay for and had no saying in it.let them use them royalties for these counties. Or taxe everyinch of the state of Ohio cause their may or may not be Minerals under them! this is politics at its best.their has already been enuff taxes paid on just bonus payments.I VOTE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

No.

Have they collected this type of tax in the past?  Ever?  Why Now?!

He is taking advantage of the lower income Ohio residents that own here and does not think we will fight this.

Just take a ride to the Columbus area and see where all of our hard working taxes are spent, NOT here in Eastern Ohio.

Its BS and we all need to object
