Rex Tillerson of Exxon and a brief statement about XTO

Nothing specific or short term, but the fact that Exxon is in for the long haul.

Tillerson noted that the XTO deal was predicated on a 30-40 year outlook that sees natural gas growing in importance as part of the global energy mix. The company’sOutlook for Energy: A View to 2040 envisages global demand for gas will grow by 65% between 2010 and 2040, and overtake coal as the world’s second-most widely used source of energy.

As far as I know, this is just for the folks in Noble County held by a Beck lease transferred to XTO.  It may be more than that, I just don't have the information.  Invite letters are being sent out.  Maybe others will comment.

This case certainly becomes more interesting;  can't believe Antero didn't want to jump into the court process, instead they are messing with the void leases;

Soap opera in the oil and gas style!  You know the question is:who is in bed with who!

It is obvious why most of the above mentioned are trying to back Beck.  If Beck loses, they will lose as well.  Most of them are players in the lease by HBP game, so if Beck loses, they have a lot at stake.  One precedent set, more to follow.

Now the Pipefitters I don't get it, they must have a brother serving as business agent or some such BS.

Obviously just my opinion, but if I was already involved in a lease that Beck Energy's fingerprints on it already I be inclined to tell anyone who is trying to do something with the lease to come back AFTER the courts are done with whatever suppose to be wrong with them now, and then we'd talk about it.

No point in trying to give legitimacy to a potentially defective lease. Besides, if the courts start tossing leases I might be able to get an even better deal down the road, or at the least not have an "albatross" hanging around my neck.

I have heard (no personal knowledge, total heresay) that some of the Beck leases have been challenged on the basis that the royalty payments have been spotty, at best.  Whether they tried to prove a lack of production to be the cause,  poor record keeping... fraud....I don't know.   Stories of checks magically beginning to show up are everywhere.

So who do you represent, Linda? What are you paying?  Are you looking to buy on Beck/XTO leases since this is a discussion about Exxon/XTO/Beck Energy.   I am not in Belmont, but curious why you are posting in this thread.

Yes I am a business owner.I also work as a consultant in the oil and gas industry.I have been helping leaseholders and mineral owners get the best price for what they own and control.I saw alot of abuse goiing on here in Ohio.Last week I assisted a couple to close a deal on 186 acres in Belmont county and the mineral owners were very happy with the price they got for their minerals.I also have worked in construction since 1984 as a certified laborer.I believe in helping leaseholders and mineral owners who believe that they are being taken advantage is a much needed service and I have been working with those who have had problems in the oiil and gas indrusty since 1999.Yes it is possible to work in your own business have a job as a laborer and help others who have a need.
