Gas In Place (GIP) Analysis Shows Greatest Potential in SW PA per RRC

See RRC's October 29, 2013 Presentation that shows the GIP (Gas In Place) for the Utica/Point Pleasant, Upper Devonian and Marcellus Shales:

Tim,

This is the first time I heard about tapping the reservoir layers.  Thank you for the information.

Regards,

Phil

I have been following these quarterly reports for a few years (or more) now and what gets me is they have wells in Beaver county the Noss wells.. 8mcf and 800b of liquids)..1 in the Marcellus and 1 in the Upper devonian they claimed about a year ago that the Upper Devonian well on the same pad was equal to the Marcellus..Yet there isn't any mention of these 2 wells..tell me why?...They don't even show them on the supper rich map..I personally believe they are holding back..even if I'm wrong ..it looks like we are in for a lot of drilling in the next few years..

Gary,
I'm in Washington county and there is a Rhinestreet well on Neighbor's. It's not on map either. Those maps are outdated by 9 months.

Hey Tim,

Are you in NW Washington County near the McWreath pad or what pad is it that has the Rhinestreet well that your property is near?

Thanks,

Todd

Gary - there's still land to be leased around that area. I was at a house yesterday evening when a Range landman talked with a family member (their property) that has 17 acres. They're offering non surface for all, 18% at 2200/acre. I told family member that was way too low - to hold out for another year or two.
I agree - not a PEEP from them about that Noss well. It HAS to be good - I just saw the rig go to the Dalbo pad this evening at 3:45. I was at rt18/30 red light as the control room trailer drove by. Turned right at top of hill headed to the pad off 30.
I spoke with a Hanover twp employee back in March and asked him about Noss well He told me it was a very good result.
Seismic shoot in entire area by Seitel is for Range. And Range shot some of the same area near Ponderosa golf course last October. I was taking pictures and saw the geophones on the ground. Was out near Springs road.
Why would they shoot an area twice?
We aren't being told everything and for probably good reason. Range wants that 20% internal rate of return they show every quarter to continue.
This is just like a good poker game - we're in early my friend. Be patient!
I checked my CHK lease (I'm in Hanover twp.). Still with them although someone mentioned that RR may be picking up an acreage position - I have heard from an Uncle who works for Williams and a geophysicist from Chevron that Range acquired all Chk leases in Hanover. That would explain the Seitel shoot ready to be tested in the next 13 days around the area...

Hey Guys,

I'm in Hancock County and I am pooled into the only existing unit to date in the county by a Rhinestreet well with CHK as the operator... seems to be a theme here with the Rhinestreet.  In addition, CHK has several permits for more Rhinestreet wells in extreme western Beaver County.  However, I can't find any real information that shows the hydrocarbon mix or volume of liquids.  The calculated IP for dry gas was 1166 mcf/day and oil was only 5 Bbl's per day.  Usually, the dry gas is accounting for about 1/3rd of the gas content in the Marcellus so that leaves the remaining gas content as NGL's.

My big question is whether Range will be acquiring any acreage in WV, specifically Hancock County.  I noticed this on their acreage slide as well:

(2) Extends partially into WV.

the lease we signed with Chesp. states on depth severance clause notwithstandingany otherprovision hereof' lessor excepts and reserves all the oil and gaswith in and underlying the leased premises from the surface to a depth of 1000 ft above the tullt linestone formation.lessee retains all rightsnotspecifically excepted and reserved by lessor. did they get the devonian shale for nothing as the clause states or am I wrong any comments welcome

Jeff,
Not sure about depth of Tully at your location. That said yes they have your Rhinestreet. In RRC's conference call they said "Rhinestreet few hundred feet above Marcellus." Tully is about in between them. When did you sign your lease?

signed about 3 yrs ago we were not informed when we signed it that's on us.I am in Greene co. bottom left righy next to WVA. THANK YOU for your responce I sure wish this GO MARCELLUS WAS AROUND THEN a lot of info now that was not available then/

Sounds like you're not too far south of me. I'm in Buffalo Twp, Washington county. I sent you a friend request.
