Just curious...

I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

Larry did the trucks turn on Short hill road?

State Route 4012

I have seen a pipeline marked "petroleum" going across Thornbottom Creek Road and State Road in Farmington Township.

Anywhere they're getting oil out of the shales by fracing horizontal wells, there was a smaller amount of oil being produced with earlier completion technology. If there was oil in commerical amounts in the Tioga County shales we would have known it years ago. Let's be glad we have gas and not ask for too much more!

I remeber about 30 years ago, my dad leased our property to,, I believe it was Exxon for oil. Nothing panned out back then and we never talked much about it.

Does anyone remember that period and what was driving them

Exxon was looking for natural gas too - we leased stuff to them at that time as well.

I heard they changed up there plans again there gonna drill the shrack pad not sure on spelling its in the Beechwood lake area than there going back to drill Watkins. If the price of gas doesn't go up there gonna stop at that till spring if it starts climbing they will keep drilling Empson would be after Watkins. These are all Utica wells.

There moving a rig to Liberty from Mansfield it will be interesting to see how deep they drill in Liberty?

Last Thursday, what looked like a rig section came into Mansfield on Rte 6 from the East.  There was also a wide-load sign PU sitting along Rte 549  (with flashing sign) a mile or so up 549 (for south-bound traffic).

Parts of TC are looking abandoned, staging areas empty and businesses closed down.

The rig from the Neal pad was moved to Sharretts 805.
