Folks in my area to ask how their gas service is used.  Is it being used for cooking or heating water or heating the home.

My wife took the call and told me much later about it.

If I had answered it I would have said, "When Dominion decides to pay a decent and fair royality, then gas would become our primary fuel for all of these household uses."

As it is now, we burn wood for exclusively for heating the house and water. And during cold weather we fire up the woodburning cookstove for added heat and of course to cook on. The gas range is used only in warm weather.

Oxygen sensor? Are they absolutely reliable Lynn? Or maybe sometime in the future they might become disabled in some manner. The older I get, the more i distrust much of what is said to me or even what is written down on paper. If some dispute comes up, then you have to take it to court and let a judge decide. And who knows where the money in that judge's pocket came from?

It seems there is just so many recalls of items on the market anymore.......Quality and reliability has flown out the window in favor of a quick buck!

Oh by the way, anyone here know Roland Ely? on Ely Hill
How do you know that your water heater won't explode tonight? What's the solution? Live without anything that might be in any way potentially dangerous in our lives? What a sad existence that would be!

I research everything to death (including reviews of anything I buy) so I understand all the consequences of anything I do, then I take responsibility for any decisions I make. I don't believe everything that's written and check for myself; I like to know all my options before I go into anything. So far that philosophy has served me well...I've caught many small problems and fixed/avoided them before they became a major headache. In this case, like I said, no one will ever die in this house from lack of oxygen whether the sensors work or not...it leaks like a sieve.
