Thanks. What township are you working with Exco in Clearfield?
Until it gets done I don't really want to get that specific. Whenever it's done I will let you know. Darcy has more specific info above.
I'll see if Ben still has the contact info.
I assume that Stone 10 year $3,500 deal is the Fryburg Group? or are they offering that to everyone now?
You're correct. No big secret there. We'll wait and see if they get paid in December.
Do you know when in December the deadline is?
The first group's 90 days should be running out at the end of the first week in September. It won't take long to find out whether people actually got paid. If they don't get paid it will absolutely spread like wildfire during a mid-August drought.
Haha no doubt. We've talked to a LOT of the folks in that deal.
Are you saying that people sign a contract with the O & G Co. They have to wait 90 days for bonus payment and then some dont get paid and contract is void.
Absolutely. Folks in Washington and Greene County have experience with this. The companies start out saying that it is because they need to check titles. But now at least one company makes the Lessor sign a letter that the lessor must sign saying that the Lessor understands that the lease could be rejected for any number or reasons - sort of like if the guy in charge of leases wakes up with a back ache some morning s/he has the right to pick out 25 leases or all leases and reject them out of hand. Meanwhile the lessor's signature is on the line. Can the Lessor terminate and lease to someone else? I suspect the Lessee will say the Lessor is bound by his or her execution of the lease. Hmm!
1. State - OH
2. County - Belmont
2. Lease Bonus Offer - $100
3. Royalty % - 12.5%
4. Terms (length of the lease) - 5 years
5. Company - Mason Dixon (Marquette)
I think its worh alot more than that. Lease agreement was shure wrote in the oil co. interest.
1/8th [12.5%] and $100? acre for the shallow sands is "traditional." But for the Marcellus? And all the other productive strata? You've got to be kidding! There are really people taking that deal ?????? That is sad.
