Didn't know anyone signed it!

think  a number of people signed in Monroe County and Eclipse's stock went up shortly after that even before the market took a little upturn

I got my first check on time like they said don't have anything bad to say about eclipse !

Old Trapper,

I signed the amendment on my 5 year lease with eclipse for annual payments . its the same lease just the payments change to yearly.

Do they guarantee to make all the installment payments .....say if they pay you the  first yearly payment then drill a unit.... are you then held by production and you do not get the rest of the installment payments....is there any wording in the contract to this?

Guarantee no, but if you signed and had a lease language you wanted to keep, which those that signed should have had you are ahead of the game. 1.  You kept that lease. 2. you were paid at the amount defined (most renewals were at 115%). 3. Payment by the year is tax advantageous. 4.  If Eclipse goes bankrupt or sells you have gotten 1 year in advance.  5.  As for lies had the market not changed I believe those talked of wells would have happened.  I guess if I were selling something I would make it look as good as possible.  And yes we signed the extension and yes we have been paid and yes we're glad and time will tell were we right?

Oh yes and as far as being drilled and them not having to pay the remaining installments if you had been included in a unit I guess you would not have gotten any more lease money anyway?  We hope they can weather the downturn until we get through this deal we made with the devil to break some of the other countries that were rich in oil and gas!!

Remember this an election year of major importance, would like to think we have something to look forward to.  Obama said he would eliminate coal, Hillary has said she will eliminate gas, how do we know what  the rest are saying, lots of talk.  If I were a poker player my chances would probably be the same!!!

When Chesapeake asked Jefferson County landowners to agree to changing their bonus to 3 annual payments instead of full bonus payment, because of Chesapeake's history, hopefully no one agreed.

It's obvious that a sale of their lease is planned in the next year, since increased drilling is more than 2 years out.

Another move that Chesapeake does, per one Jefferson County Landowner, he was put in a unit that he has yet to be paid for, yet his lease is held by production. This issue went to court but a well known WV Attorney Group sold this landowner out, as he observed when the "FACKs" were not presented in the 10 minutes allowed in court. I rarely misspell words by the way.

If you go to the Carroll County Electronic Records you will see how Chesapeake has pooled large groups of landowners in order to hold them by production.

I hope all of you who have revised your leases are treated fairly, but, this is the Oil & Gas Industry. You aren't dealing with companies that are known for following leases, contracts or laws.
