Utica decline curves..............data

Is there fresh data & commentary regarding utica decline rates from Q4?

 Nice picture Mike.

 I have to agree and thought myself that the production numbers on wells are not true measurement of what a well is capable of or is holding in the ground.First like what has been said, if there is not enough trucks or pipelines or processing plant, why bring it out of the ground ?

O&G Companies are in control for the most part, and keep the real info mostly to themselves

Seems like a good bet they are all throttled at one point ...it all can't be dealt with at once. Step by Step, a lot of carts, not enough horses

You could plot the oil and gas production from the data provided to the ODNR, but until someone audits or at least takes a look at a wells true production, the decline rates mean nothing.

When the landowner is told 35 barrels of oil and less were picked up from the well 10 times a month for a new producing well and 5 times a month for wells that have been in production for a few years, while the Tanker Truck Driver says he can only pick up a minimum of 200 barrels each trip, there will be a huge amount of Oil unreported to the ODNR from each well.

Then there is the landowners royalty statement which  will show 20% less than the ODNR due to further under reporting to the landowner. This is waste, producer use, shrinkage, or the fact that there are no laws enforceable laws to prevent the producer from shorting the landowner.

When someone says they have verified a wells production, then you can plot the decline curve. Until then you are only plotting the underpaid royalty decline curve.

Anyone ever hear of the ohio tax commissioner doing an audit? How about an ODNR employee verifying production by reading meters at the well?   I rest my case, for now.
