Jim, I don't know what influence you believe you had on "taking down the prices of O&G rights on their website", however it is possible that the reason is because prices on anything aren't static, or the wealth of O&G resources varies from region to region, or even that proximity to market and processing plants differs from drilling site to drilling site.
I expect few readers are intimidated or fearful of making a phone call and receiving personal attention. That's not sarcasm, just the truth.
No sarcasm intended. I often get requests for my idea on what a "fair price" would be for OGM acreage, leased or unleased. Personally I hate to see folks sell them, esp. if the acreage appears promising. However I have heard enough sad stories to realize that often the NEED truly exists and the sellers feel lucky to have something of value to sell! Another scenario is one where "the old family farm" has been handed down so many times that it's now owned by 30+ people some of whom may never have met! Selling the land/OGMs can be a way to settle an estate.
There are great deals to be had when only one side knows what's being sold. There are very fair deals to be had when BOTH sides know the value. Folks should forever be doing their homework.
whatever it takes Janice, but no need to be sarcastic but then again I guess theres a reason for the defense.
It's OK for anyone to put land (rights) up for sale @ any time, isn't it? Perhaps the family has a medical emergency, $omeone to send to college, taxes to pay, or are hoping for a home in some exotic location other than Vernon. Finding a buyer for the price listed is the task now.
I don't believe 'shut in' means a well is bad. keep the faith.
I might be wrong jim. if it is a permit for another well, the badmouthing of the first one is off base.
looks to mean they are drilling another well at that bad site. hahahahah
Mark,
Thanks for posting that. Looks like MWE is a better investment than Crawford County OGM right now:-) I still like the green of our trees better than the green of MWE bottom line, but both are pretty.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
