Floyd Wilson described Crawford County as "goat pasture". I believe he was referring to westerly Crawford County where they drilled a few wells. Wasn't there a problem with Staab? Perhaps insufficient gas pressure to get oil that is  supposedly there to the surface?

I have my property in Summit Twp being marketed by WPGLC and I talked with Ed B. about 2 months ago and FWIW he told me that the pipeline going to the Staab was on hold for now.  I remember the huge flare off it that someone put on you tube and thot it a great one, but apparently not as much NGL in it, mostly a dry gas well.  So, I don't know the actual content, but I would think that a great well already drilled and frac'd, that they'd be rushing on the pipeline.  I'd sure like a land rush, since it's 10 miles W of my property, but may be something to the well's content.   Gary, 1st I heard that, but definitely a welcome event, if that is in fact true, as well.  Would love to see expansion at a measurable rate into Crawford.........  all IMHO

I am hoping that those who attend the up-coming Midstream Conference in Pittsburgh at the end of January may get some new information about status of contemplated pipeline projects for western Pennsylvania. Announced pipeline projects often get modified or in some cases plans are abandoned. Hopefully Blue Racer is still a go.

Might be some good news.  Looks like a pipeline is coming into crawford county.  Hopefully it's the start of something good.

Lippert well results for October 2013 - 3917.34 MCF of gas at $3.59.  Burgers and fries this month.

The infrastructure is coming. Finally a pipeline is underway from a cryogenics palant in Mahoning County to Mercer county. This is a Pennant/Hillcorp project. See Last 10-15 posts at Mercer County Comment Wall. Range can only drill so many wells. Their best acreage is in SW Pa. But I think Crawford County is still good. I continue to state my belief that the Lippert well was screwed-up. It is in the interest of Range to poor-mouth their Crawford County acreage.

One or two exploratory wells like Lippert do not seem worth getting excited about.  And the Producer may be controlling how fast the stuff comes out of the ground.  And who really knows what is sold and where and when?  Does the driller just sell all the gas, wet gas and oil to a friendly gathering line at a field price they have agreed upon?  What is royalty based on?  How about basing it on the price at which the separate constituents are sold downstream?
