Just got a copy of the lease from Northeast Appalachian Land Service, Inc. 

5 year term, $3900 acre, 19% royalties ( GAS: less the cost to transport,treat & process the gas and any losses in volumes to  point of measurement that determines the revenue realized by Lesee.  OIL: free of cost).  Inludes drilling on site, any and all pipelines on property to move gas from site and gas from adjoining sites across the land as well.  Also to use land for storage of future gas as well.  Still lots of fine print to sort ththrough but this is the main points.

I just looked at the map..Rt 77 at times does go e-w.  Looks like they are looking west of Meadville.  Please keep informed and have a great weekend. Dave Cy

Doesn't Rt 77 run north and south?  So does I 79.  Confusing. Our farm is only 500 yds from I 79.  Please keep info flowing.  Thanks, Dave Cy

Go into this with your eyes wide open. I've never met this person but I'm not getting very good intel about him. Please keep us posted what you find out.

Thanks Berk for posting that info!

I called Jim this morning to see where they were looking.  Said in Crawford County they are looking below rt 77 and west of 79.  Lease includes all formations.  Didn't say what company he was representing.  I believe he said the 19% was without deductions but I couldn't be clear of what he was saying.  Lease contains 3 pages of addendums.   90 day term on contract(to review deed and get paid).  Forgot to ask length of lease.

Will share more info when I get the lease to review.

Most of the recent posts have been to petej's "...HOT..." thread.  There's some good info there.  There have also been rumblings of good, quick action by the small central Crawford group.  Perhaps someone with firsthand knowledge will post that here...?
