Comment by Kim Conaway on October 16, 2011 at 5:10am Thank you for all the information! Glad to hear that the well in Dempseytown looks promising as we are about 8 miles give or take from that well. I will just keep my fingers crossed that someone comes looking for us and can't wait to hear more updates.

Comment by Kim Conaway on October 15, 2011 at 8:55am Barbara, have you been approached by any gas companies yet? We own 48 acres and have family members that have adjoining acreage that we may be able to pool together to form a larger piece. We haven't been approached by anyone yet and the maps are inconsistant as to whether the marcellus reaches eastern crawform or not. I currently live in Lawrence County and our HOA here is looking into signing lease that is being pooled with other landowners, so I am a little familiar with the contract being offered here.
Comment by Barbara L Hall on October 14, 2011 at 12:45am In response to Kim Conaway. The Northwest Pa Landowner Group is the only group in Crawford County that I am aware of. All Crawford County
residents are welcome in this group. You just need to give them some contact information to find out about future meetings. So far they have not asked for a definate commitment but from the last meeting I believe that will be coming soon. I also live in eastern Crawford county as do some of the other people that attended the last meeting. This group has taken a very large geographical bite and it may present a problen down the line but only time will tell. I suppose it could be an advantage.

Comment by rex roae on October 7, 2011 at 2:57pm I emailed Mr. Kareha and have received no response as well.
If it's true you need to email the contact info to Arkansas, something sounds more than a little bit fishy.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
