The many references to CX here remind me how little the OGM public focuses on what goes on behind the scenes of this firm.  They have attended every NAPE this year, making a very positive impression on the E&P companies in attendance.  Word gets around to the point where companies are searching them out (& the shape files for ea. county they represent) as much ... and often more ... as CX looks for the companies.  These are global events and the CX experience and established footprint in the Energy Sector was in existence before Marcellus appeared on the horizon.

RESEARCH over a period of months on the CX reputation, integrity profile and manner of  "getting the job done"  led 4-County to choose this firm to represent us. Do we have a lease yet for all our townships? No.  Do all townships have the same geology and infrastructure in place?  No.  The very same is true for every area throughout the Marcellus/Utica play.  At any given time do all companies have the same focus, the same $$$ to invest, or offer the same lease deal?  Again NO!!

Anyone wanting big bucks, major benefits&protections, a large royalty percentage, and wanting it in short order, needs to realize where our counties stand in the scheme of things ... the world's energy market, global demand for what specific areas have, and take note also that O&G shale is found world-wide.

Every county under the  CX  umbrella gets the same high-quality representation.  Even the members who grouse because the incredibly complicated world of legal strategies and changes in O&G technology has slowed the process for achieving a solid lease get the same attention and opportunity for success.

James, I have no idea how badly you need money or how much patience you have for such a complicated deal to go through.  This has been the year for tremendous infrastructure growth throughout much of PA.  The biggest wellpad does no one any good if there are no pipelines, railheads, or processing plants in place. You stated CX did nothing for you.  Think again what its staff has been striving for non-stop since you signed your name to a paper.  If a landman or company agent had made you an offer, you wouldn't be crowing about what was done for you ... more like complaining about what was done TO you!

If you are truly on your own now ... I wish you good luck because you'll need it.  O&G companies will do whatever they do, but they won't do it for individuals ... they'll do it to them.

I am not A CX fan so this isn't meant to defend them....but the oil and gas companies move when they are ready, and not before.

Chip, I gave Cx energy a year to get me a deal, mine expires in a few weeks, I sent my termination letter about 6weeks or so ago. I gave them a chance and they didn't come through, they did nothing for me.

Rex,

Based on the lease offered to me by Range last year.  I never would be able to call it a land owner friendly contract.

@chip isn't better wait that a lot of people
In mercer county are now involved in lawsuits with CX?
Here is a good idea for Crawford county landowners don't
Sign with CX and save yourself possible litigation .
I was a part of a landowners land group ( not for profit
Group) in butler county and the great deal That we worked
Out with Shell was also offered to landowners not in the group.
Si why pay CX 6%?

If CX was able to get me a guaranteed lease contract for at least $2,500 with their land owner friendly contracts, I'd sign in a heartbeat.

Last year I made the mistake of going with Guardian Exploration instead of Range and ended up not getting paid.  I won't make the same mistake of signing a lease without a guarantee of payment this time.

Yeah, I wonder how much longer they will be telling clients the same thing over and over again? I wish they would get a deal for all the people that trusted them and hopefully it doesn't take them another 1-2 years to get them a deal.

CX will tell you whatever you want to hear.

A bunch of people in Jackson Center (Mercer County) are being sued by CX because after CX dropped them, they signed with Chevron and now CX is suing the landowners for 5% of the sign-on bonus for breach of contract. Bunch of money-grubbing shysters if you ask me!!

Who would sign with CX ? Just read the post from
Landowners that didn't get signed.
