James- I talked to Bill Cousins and he said that where my property is at they would consider it to be a wildcat well, because there are no wells really close to see how they did.  There are oil wells all over the place by what he showed me.  He was going to have his geologist look into it.

I don't know if they are leasing because they partnered with Range Resources to drill on their HBP acreage in that area. Our acreage that Kastle included in the unit was HPB by Range, I ask the Kastle guy and he told me this.

Just wondering if Kastle has drilled some gushers which i also heard that, then why aren't they trying to lease more land? Thanks for the info james

Summerhill township, near Conneautville/Conneaut Lake area. Kastle has drilled some gushers in that area over the past 2 years.

I live in armstrong county and i have 2 shallow wells and 1 deep well, so i'm not sure if i believe that.  It may take longer because most leases have all the shale leased.  That way they drill a shallow well just to hold your land by HBP.

I was told that if you have a shallow rights well on your property, your chances of having a deep well also drilled on your property are greatly diminished. We have had a shallow well since 1981 and I believe the most we ever received in a year was $100.

How are they getting the oil out, by trucks and have they drilled in the area before do you know?  Also james what township are you in?

He told me they work with shale drillers so you can still get a lease with them. They are only looking to drill for oil in the Medina FWIW. I don't care about a medina well, I want a Utica or Marcellus. For $50 an acre I would rather not have my property bothered.
