Gary-The lateral on the Staab well heads to the SE, the horizontal is ~5000' in length. The BHL is on the Gretz tract to the south of the Staab tract.  The PGC acreage is roughly 2500' north and 5000' east of the Staab pad.  No lease on that PGC acreage in Crawford County yet.

ABOUT POLITICS I recommend that you take a look at the
TEXAS LAND & MINERAL OWNERS ASSOCIATION
http://www.tlma.org/about.htm
I wonder when we will get a comparable group in Pennsylvania to address the interests of Landowners in Harrisburg where landowners do not appear to have any organized group to look out for their interests? Such a group is badly needed. You can be sure that the producers have their lobby with unlimited financial resources. Landowners across the state need to to join hands.
The ecology folks have their lobby and I am glad it is there just to keep the less responsible drillers in line.

Response to SJ ORR. I agree. One needs to see all the lease terms to find out all the gimmicks. As to the second bonus, I wonder how often that has actually been paid. I suspect that the second payment is rarely made but I do not know.
The 20 year term does not make sense unless acreage can be held by production after that period. Pure conjecture, but I am guessing that it only means some wells must be drilled during the 20 years and that for each well drilled a stated acreage will be held by production.
To BERK - do not give up because of the little bird. Chances are that the problem will be solved over the long haul.

that well is right beside the gamelands. i know the drillers set up 30 degrees of true north, one way or the other, can't remember. either way would put them under the gamelands i would think. wonder if the pgc leased over there?

I just came back from the Staab Well 1H in N. Shenango Twp. in Crawford County, the rig is up and there is activity around the well site. While I was there I took a few photos from the road, thought others might enjoy seeing them as well as me.
