In the search for information about permits, etc., if you have not already been there, try:
For $20/year you get access to all the info on the site - which is considerable. Two weaknesses: The site does not purport to show anything but Marcellus activity and it does not have information about every well and permit since it gets its info from the state and the DEP does not know where some of the wells and permits are and is unable to disclose them - but that i not the fault of the site which organizes info in various useful ways.
Comment by Jim Litwinowicz on October 21, 2012 at 11:56am That article on flaring was about the flaring of associated gas from oil wells. It was not discussing gas burned off during a test flare or initial flaring of a gas well.
Dave Hunt's reference to the GE discussion of flaring is helpful. Can we get O&G leases to include a clause that says that says, in effect, that Lessee-Producer, must pay a royalty for flared oil, gas and constituent products after ___ hours of flaring - possibly excepting emergency situations.
Comment by warjr on October 20, 2012 at 11:51am does anybody have a contact with Halcon they can share?
Comment by Berk on October 20, 2012 at 5:41am My sister called me about an hour a go. They received their Halcon check today for ten acs. over by Jamestown, Pa.(Mercer County).
Comment by David Hunt on October 19, 2012 at 1:30pm Jim This is highly confidential information I am sharing and I could be shot for it.( Just kidding) if you are talking about the permits. Below is the link to eNotice. I would recommend getting notices for Oil & Gas and Waterways & Wetlands.
http://www.ahs2.dep.state.pa.us/eNOTICEWeb/ If you want more than one County or township after you choose the first one hold down the control button when you click on the second and so on

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
