Sam, the rig was being moved out on wed. from the Allam well, It was heading towards sandy lake, assuming it was going to jamestown site or greenville site?
Thanks for the info Sam!
See Mercer County Comment wall. Apparently a rig has been dismantled and is moving somewhere. There were posts suggesting it may have been the rig from the Allam well? If so, where is it going? I would not think it would be to Rainbow site. My info has been that Rainbow would be drilled in April at the earliest, and then only if results from Allam well were good. My last info on Allam was that they had a problem and perhaps may have lost a bit in the bore hole?. Maybe some of you have info. Verifying whether or not rig is still on Allam site or has been dismantled would be helpful information!
Any news on the Allam well? Has Halcon possibly screwed up the well or has the problem referred to by J.R. Ewing in a post below been solved?? Sounds like mayve they lost a bit?? Any engineers out there to know what this might mean? (This site is deader than a dead cat!!)
This site is once again deader than a dead cat. Having no new news, I will post an old joke:
Q. Do you know why scientic and medical researchers are replacing their laboratory rats with lawyers?
A. Three reasons: there are more lawyers than rats!
there are some things that rats actually will not do!
some researchers actually become attached to rats!
Someone needs to get down to the Allam well and do a little sweet talking. Might find out the new estimated completion date. Might also find out how long the fracking is likely to take? Somebody give these well drillers a little tende loving care. Might require some one of the female gender as they might do better at getting information! Probably someone will accuse me of being sexist with that last remark!
Does anyone know anything about the Sandy Creek conservancy well? Will it be drilled after the Rainbow well? How many laterals are they drilling per site? Are they drilling the Utica?
I will post something so Sam will stop talking about dead cats. The Allam well is still being drilled and the rig was not moved. According to my sources, some part of the drilling apparatus broke and they had to pull the drill and fish a part out of the well. Set them way back time-wise. According to the same source, the Rainbow well will not be drilled until next spring, after results of the Allam well are known. At the rate the Allam well is progressing, testing may not occur now until April...
This site is deader than a dead cat! Why?
Drove by the Allam well Tuesday. The rig is still up but I think it is in a different position so I am guessing they are drilling another well on the same pad. The SCCC site hasn't changed-signs up stating it is a Halcon site with lots of warnings but no site work has started yet. The Rainbow well pad is complete with road in and stone down. No working being done.....probably waiting for the to finish at the Allam site.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
