(Hit wrong button) I wonder if they might not get purchased by one of the big boys. Might Shell just buy Vista lock stock and barrel?)

Mark: I imagine that the permits are scattered all over. I, as you know am computer illiterate. I searched O&G permits on e-facts for the year 2012. I did not search by township. I could search each of the approximately 30 townships for the same period which would give the number of permits issued or pending in each township, but would not tell you the exact location. I may do this but suspect you may have an easier way! Have they started fracking the Allam well? Vista is a private company that has been drilling vertical wells in northwestern Pennsylvania for years. Their logbooks, well locations, geological studies would be very valuable. I wonder if they might not g

Sam, who is Vista? Where are the wells located that were permitted? Do you know what formation they are targeting? Thanks. Mark

This site still remains deader than a dead cat. Surely someone in Venango County has some news to report. If not news, how about some rumours or even speculations. Why did Vista file applications for 80 drilling permits in Venango, all of them since November 1, 2012. Check e-facts, if you don't believe me.

Sam, as your are aware, Mrs. Allam is quite elderly and therefore would likely have no need for future income from royalties, however, one would think an arm's length transaction would have netted her significantly more sales proceeds.  Fishy smelling indeed, at least at face value...

I hope for Ms. Allam's sake that there were some special circumstances that make these transactions appropriate. If not the legal ethics involved in these  transactions appear at best  questionable. On the surface the transactions have a  nasty smell to them.Maybe the local newspaper might look into this, if they have any good reporters?. I am sure Mr. Huwar has a good explanation. After all he is a licensed attorney and is presumably of high moral character.

Does anyone know who Paragon Resources, LLC is? Who are its principals? Mr. Huwar is an attorney from Clarion County and apparently he acted as a straw party / intermediary in at least one of the transactions involving Mrs. Allam. I wonder and hope that she had her own attorney advising her on this. If not, it may well be that she was taken advantage of. I believe she is in her late nineties. It would appear to me that Paragon got a "steal" and paid no where near fair market value. Hopefully Mr. Huwar wasn't representing both parties in thie transaction. By both parties, I am referring to Ms. Allam and Paragon. If he was representing both parties, it is unfortunate. One need only be reminded of the The Holy Bible and the passage stating that one cannot serve two masters without serving one preferentially. ( I am paraphrasing, and not quoting  the exact words of scripture which state the principal far more eloquently). I concede that there might be some special circumstances that made the deal attractive to Ms. Allam, but it appears she did not receive fair market value for her property. If others disagree, I would welcome their posts on the subject. I note that Mr. Huwar's webpage suggests he is associated with CX-Energy but it does not seem that they were involved in these transactions. Flushing out the true individuals involved with Paragon Resources, LLC might clarify some parts of the mystery.

Anybody know how Paragon Resources, LLC was able to purchase two of the properties(98 acres) in the current Allam 1H well unit(the pad sits on one) and one(20 acres) that is right next to the current Rainbow 1H well unit for a song?  Check Venango Parcel Viewer.  Deeds recorded in November in Venango Co.  I drive past the Allam well all the time and never saw a FOR SALE sign...  lol  If that property had been mine, I would have asked 5 times what was paid for it at least.
