The DRBC Hearings: Landowners vs. Special Interest Groupies

Two of the DRBC hearings on its scandalous proposed fracking ban took place in Waymart, Pennsylvania. It was landowners versus the special interest groupies.

Yesterday afternoon and last night, the Delaware River Basin Commission or DRBC held two of the scheduled DRBC hearings on their proposed fracking ban. The hearings took place at the Salvation Army’s Lake Ladore conference facility under the shadow of the Moosic Mountain separating the DRBC and SRBC…

“We Were Wrong. Methane Isn’t So Bad After All. Sorry.”

An academic study on methane goes bad. Will anyone in the press notice? Dan Markind reports and reminds environmentalists to be careful what they wish for.

Earlier today, the Journal of Geophysics Research issued a retraction notice for an article it first published online on April 20, 2017. In pertinent part, the retraction reads:

“The article, Ren, X., et al. (2017), “Methane remissions from the Marcellus Shale in southwestern…

Why the DRBC Is Acting Now: The Motive for Its Dirty Trick

The DRBC has picked a very strange time and even stranger location for hearings on its proposed fracking ban, which is the dirty trick for all time.

Tomorrow, the Delaware River Basin Commission or DRBC will be holding two hearings in Waymart, Pennsylvania on a proposed fracking ban. The hearings will be held, ironically, on the doorstep of the Susquehanna River basin where the same players have allowed natural gas drilling for a decade with “no discernible…

Is the New Russian Nord Stream Pipeline the Start to Another Cold War?

Nord Stream 2, a Russian pipeline project, is going to increase natural gas market share for the Kremlin, but is it going to become the next Cold War?

Being born in the early 1980’s, I missed out on the majority of the Cold War. Recently, I have been reading a lot about this period of time and how it began, what played out, and the way it ended. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, the Cold War has largely been considered over. The way I see it, though, their…

Understanding Fractivism and the Unrelenting Arrogance of Useful Idiots

The recent sanctioning of CELDF attorneys by a very frustrated Federal judge has helped expose the blind arrogance of those associated with fractivism.

Two weeks ago I reported here on a rather amazing order from Federal Judge Susan Paradise Baxter, an Obama appointee, sanctioning Tom Linzey and another CELDF attorney for their irresponsible lawyering on the Grant…

PennEast Pipeline Approved by FERC Over Fractivist Objections

FERC has approved construction of the PennEast Pipeline, rejecting objections ginned up through an organized campaign funded by the William Penn Foundation.

Although it will still need approvals from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the Delaware River Basin Commission or DRBC (which has no actual authority over pipelines but to which PennEast agreed to submit), the PennEast Pipeline now has FERC approval. It came despite a parade of ridiculous objections raised…

The Rot Governor Andrew Corruptocrat Cuomo Has Wrought

Andrew Corruptocrat Cuomo didn’t create all of the Southern Tier’s problems but he’s done nothing to help because gas companies willing to invest won’t pay.

An absolutely amazing story appearing Crain’s New York Business yesterday tells the ugly truth about New York’s Governor Andrew Corruptocrat Cuomo; no one advances without…

The Fight is Not Over: Constitution Pipeline Appeals to U.S. Supreme Court

Refusing to give up, the Constitution Pipeline filed an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the corrupt NY DEC ruling against the project and uphold the law.

“The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated” – Mark Twain (and Constitution Pipeline). Last week it was our duty to report the sad news that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission found they …

Jessup Borough Brings Radical Lawyer Jordan Yeager on Board

Jessup Brough just hired radical attorney Jordan Yeager, who’s in the business of lawyering for fractivist groups funded by big-money special interests.

Jessup Borough, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, is home to a brand new natural gas fired power plant now being finished by the Invenergy company. Indeed, part of the plant is due to start operations next month. But, something very strange and deceptive appears to be going on. A new Borough Council, which now…

On June 8, 2015, along with six others, I met with Governor Wolf regarding natural gas development. What was very telling in that meeting was not just what he talked about, but what…

The Mystery of Media Yakking on Fracking and Yawns on Yamal

Why do supposed journalists tell us the only fracking is bad fracking, while they give their silent assent for Russian LNG from Yamal with huge CO2 impacts?

It would be hard to find a natural gas project as cynical as the Yamal project in Siberia. The basic reason it exists at all is to take advantage of warming…
