Existing leases

I Just Purchased a piece of property with an existing lease. it was alease for shallow well gas. it runs out in 1 year, with an option to renew. its only for a couple bucks an acre. if they want to renew this lease, do i have any bargaining power?

simic(sp) testing

I just recieved a letter from a simic testing company for approval to test my property. My brother in law had the same company last week on his property. His lease company told him to use them. I'm with Chesapeake and I recieved no word on getting this done or to use anyone spicfically. What should I do?

how many wells on line in Tioga County

We have a well just sitting there. Evidentally there is not enought money or man power or maybe both to get these wells on line. Has anyone heard what the status of the pipelines are in Tioga and Jackson Twp.?

On Water... The Red Herring

I thought I would take time this week to discuss the red herrings that have been used to divert our attention from the important things going on in the Marcellus Shale and hydraulic fracturing in particular.
