Sportsman's Club Threatend With $100,000 A Day Fine

The ongoing dispute between the Jewett Sportsman's club and Chesapeake Energy continues. The issue is whether Chesapeake Energy have the surface rights to be on property. The Sportmans' Club's legal representation tell WTRF.com "We are certain that Chesapeake, its employees, agents, and workers do not have the right to enter the Jewett Sportsmen and Farmers Club, Inc.'s property to explore and extract coal, oil & gas, or other minerals."

Seriously?.....that pad is BEAUTIFUL!!!....how on earth is it going to ruin the club?......maybe you who not enlightened need to take a look at the caribou and the bear near the well pad and on the pipeline in prudhoe bay in the arctic national wildlife refuge in alaska......you great white hunters might do well to have CHK drill some wells on that pad......go to this link to see the photos:

Says you.....I'd more than support it if it were on my property. I was all for the proposed Chambers Development landfill site and it was going to be located on the other side of the ridge across from home at the end of the sportsmans club road....

We've got one we'd love to send you....Countywide in Southern Stark/Northern Tusc. It's the one that's on fire that they don't know how to put out. The feds have been in here trying to resolve. Solution is to put a big bandaid on top of it to contain the stench. (aka Trash Mountain) Be careful what you ask for.

Doubtful that you live near it...see it, smell it everyday otherwise you would likely have a different opinion. IMO the Sportman's Club has every right to decide what's best for their club. If you're not a Sportman's Club member, what does it matter to you? On second thought.....I'm really not interested in your answer. Good day sir.

Chicken Littles unfortunately have permeated the entire fabric of our society. When all the nervous Nellies or jealous jacbags cry about fracking, injection wells, O&G wells or even landfills the key words that are ALWAYS expressed are "might", "possibly", "could" or "potentialy"......seriously???.....Gee, if I get out of bed today I COULD fall down and hurt myself.....if I back out of my driveway I MIGHT get creamed by another car.....if I'm walking down the street I POTENTIALY could become a crime victim.....you get the picture.....that's why most people never accomplish much of anything in their lives.....BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID......drill baby drill, in my front yard my backyard or anywhere else you like
