Does anyone know what well was burning off north of Wellsboro last evening. It was very visible from 287 just north of Wellsboro and looked to be in the upper Niles Valley/Shortsville area. Thanks Just curious!

Jack I don't see Sharretts well on the latest production DEP report ?
There wasn't any gas sold from that well in 2014, but they did a test of the well's productive capacity while flaring the gas last year, and those results were reported to the DEP as required a couple weeks ago. The DEP asks for production data, pressures (sometimes not given) and the btu content for the gas after each completion. So these numbers are very useful for comparison purposes, although less so when comparing reports from two different operators.
The Sharrett Well IS NOT online and producing as of 2 weeks ago however it is getting closer to being turned on.
drove past on snowmobile 2 weeks and workers were on site working.
That is why it is not on production report because it is NOT producing yet..............!!!
This area tested very good if its drilled in the right area and drilled correctly this well could be the best Utica well drilled in Tioga county so far. There still flaring it.
Lets put it this way my lease renewed in NOV 2014 with one that was wrote in 2009 and they renewed after I issued demand letter.
I Got a very landowner friendly lease from 2009 that they renewed. I bypassed landman and dealt directly with Shell.
My property is less the 2.5 miles from Gee & Neal well site
NFG reports their Tioga Utica well at 22.7 MMCF
Not quite a Neal well, but maybe a little better than the Gee on a per treatable foot basis. Not a home run, but a solid double. Nice to see Seneca get a good well.
Jack, as I'm sure you know its a learning process to drill these deep Utica wells.I'm sure Seneca learned volumes on this well the next one could be a lot better.Shell spent over 20 million on there first well.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
