Also, Crawford has more than 3,200 conventional wells (2012 data), which means there is a lot of HBP acreage here. However, I'm not sure of the minimum unit size for shallow wells versus unconventional wells (with a mile lateral). There might be a lot a "gap filling" leasing to fill out larger units. Hopefully, our property (and yours) will be picked up in this process.

Dave - I have heard of nothing, yet. There are a lot of cubic feet to drain before getting to Crawford, but I suspect speculation will pick up in a few years.

Has anyone been contacted to lease their property since the shell announcement.  At this point i would lease fairly cheap.  Any information would be good.  Good luck

I think Range Resources is impacted by the Shell announcement. They were contracting to send NGLs to Europe and now there is a plant in their backyard. Range also has a large holding in Crawford, which is in the wet gas area. Of course, Range is really focusing on SW PA right now.

Watch Range - I think they are going to have to sell product to Shell rather than send it overseas. Interesting times.

So far, so good..........BUT..........based on what I've read here on these pages, it could be much better  for ALL land / mineral owners / lessors !

Don't you agree ?

PS - hey, Joe. Hope all is well! (Excuse the pun)

It is good to be in the wet gas window. I appreciate it will be a while before getting to Crawford, but we might see an uptick in speculation ... hell, I'd sign a 10-year lease.

The new Shell plant in Beaver County means long term prospects for Crawford County have substantially improved.
