Read the article Searcherone posted for a list of variables. Maybe you have some other variables based on your common logic to add? That might make a good thread, actually.
Rather, it's not my intention to calculate every combination of variables (now that really would be a great spreadsheet), but simply to calculate the "theoretical gross at 21% royalty using the published IP's with no deductions, and using the depletion rate of the Boyscout well" (as I stated). Obviously, each lease, each well, and each pipeline will have its own set of variables which will affect the royalty (as the article stated). BUT, the gross amount from this unit is truly staggering, and this is what my post demonstrates. I thought that was clear?
Hey, no problem. It was a hot day. lol. So far, none of my neighbors have gone "hog wild" spending their lease money (or more) thinking that it's only a matter of time before they start getting the big checks.....most have it invested. But, I'm sure there are some out there that have thrown their common sense to the wind and spent it all, and then some...Not to say there haven't been a few that took a portion and built a new house, or purchased some new farm equipment, but I haven't seen them borrow to buy yet. Yes, that would not be smart. If the future wasn't filled with uncertainty, we would all have gained wealth a long time ago.
Not to be pedantic but NGL prices and condensate prices are very, very different and lumping them together creates an inaccurate total number.
Absolutely. NGL's have been quoted above oil @115% WTI, and below. Equal is an approximation, certainly.
Monroe County/ Seneca Township, Ohio. There is a whole string of 'em next to each other. It is hard to fathom.
How is the price of a BOE determined?
Does anyone have any idea when the infrastructure and pipelines will be finished for the Seneca I and II? I know on the Mark West website it says 3rd and 4th quarter but does anybody know anything firsthand?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
