Just curious...

I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

Who claimed some were not "colluding"?

Interesting, but the material you have selected was published prior to Trump's 25% steel tariff announcement. Here are some examples of current (3/1/18) O/G industry response:
"U.S. energy industry slams Trump's 'job-killing' steel tariffs"
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trade-energy/u-s-energy-indu...

Also note that some of the steel the O/G industry requires is not available in sufficient quantity from US producers. Also, in PA, the Counry of Manufacture is required on the PUC Pipeline Operators' annual registration form.

The foreign pipe manufacture's need to move to the United States and manufacture the pipes or they will have to pay a tariff.Wasen't that Trumps plan from day one of his campaign? Creat jobs here.

Or ... they can wait until pipe shortaes develop in the US and "exceptions" are granted for some imports.  Plus, the US is not the only country where NG is becoming a fuel of choice; there are other markets for their product.  As for jobs, O/G development is capital intensive.

Ann, would you please elaborate on your statement below, and the relevance to this discussion?

"As for jobs, O/G development is capital intensive."

The industry is capital as opposed labor intensive.

Who is going to fund this expansion?  Taxpayers?

EPA regulations could be  a big hurdle to cross.

Is there still an EPA?

They started taking from Neals on Saturday.Should be setting up at Houcks.

One reson pipe is imported is that few US fabricators are interested in making it. It's a relativity small, specialized market . Another example why true US "energy independence" is unlikely.

If there is a profit , they will build ALL the pipe needed in the US ... That is the beauty of Free Enterprise .........

What has created Nat Gas delays in development ? GOVERNMENT !
