I'm going by rumor, but isn't there already an existing line that goes through Jackson Twp. that they are probably looking to tie in to?

I am trying to figure where the main line is from this path. The land services looking for a pipeline from rt 6 east to pittston doesn't really make sense with your path???? why to Dallas? there is no drilling there as of yet?

There are going to be "feeder" pipelines that will hook up with the main lines. The latest rumor pertains to Southern Wyoming County into Luzerne County. They are looking at putting in a “feeder” pipeline that roughly parallels Brace Road in Harding/Exeter Twp. through Orange/Franklin Twp. and goes into Dallas near Lake Louise.

western land service has been in the rt 6 tunkhannock twshp and german hill area and then over the mt going towards pittston looking to lease land for a pipeline. this may give some info on what their plan is. anyone else know anything of this nature?

If it's a PIPELINE running next to your property, that is just gathering the gas and sending it to where it gets sold. A pipeline by itself does not get gas.

A well is what you need to get the gas out of the property. When a well is drilled horizontally, all of the land it gathers gas from is in a unit. All of the owners in the unit are notified.

By the way, you need to learn more. The gas is not just sitting in a pool underground. It is locked up in shale rock. There is no way the gas can be taken from your land unless it is drilled and fracked under your land.

It would be a good idea to start learning about this. The basics are here at the PA DEP:

My property in on Orchard Hill rd. Down at the bottom where Orchard and Race lanes intersect. From what I was told the pipeline will cross orchard hill just above where my property is. I also don't live there but go up on weekends to camp and hike.

We have property in Northmoreland Twp. also have gotten the "we will contact you" response from Chesapeake last fall and have not heard anything from them again. But I would be interested to know where the pipeline is...we don't live there so I have no idea.

I got a call from one of my Neighbors last week that the pipeline is actually running right next to my property. Not on it, but just over the property line on my neighbors.

What prevents the companies from pumping gas from under my property? With all the sideways drilling how would I ever know?

I spoke to Chesapeake last week and they are not currently leasing in most areas. The only places they want right now are Lemon and East Lemon plus certain parts of Nicholson.

I also spoke to a few other companies and they are not currently leasing in Wyoming County either. This has happened several times over the past two years and can change at any minute. The companies said to check back at least every month to find out.

Right now Chesapeake in particular (and many other gas cos) have a load of leases that need to be dealt with. They are most interested in getting the drilling done to hold leases that would otherwise expire.

Each of the companies has picked a certain territory, it seems, and they are now trying to get the production going in those areas. Leasing will start up again as they discover what is underneath each area.

By the way, if your land is in an area far away from the pipelines, you are not a top priority and may have to wait. This is not a bad thing as the lease prices will continue to rise.
