Anin Township is where we are located. PGE resinded their offer to us. I do not know why. They keep telling me, we were the only piece that did not have leased. But when we were working on the lease, they pulled out. I was not asking for anytihing that wasn't in their lease.

Bonnie,

If you are hearing this from PGE, check it yourself - they do own alot of minerals and leasing a bunch from the PPL deal, but in Mckean county, it is much more spread out than it is in Potter - they don't always surround everyone in Mckean.  In what Township are you located - I can answer in the Mckean Group, if you would prefer.

new to the forum and looking forward to learning even more. We are up for a lease renewal along with 2 other neighbors.. does anyone have a going rate for signing bonuses? Also royalty percentages? We are located in North Fork area of Potter and they have hit several wells in the area

Just spoke with someone that worked with a broker from NY. Got $5750 an acre and 20% royalies. Paid the broker firm $200.00 an acre. He is in Sullivan County.

Where are you located in Potter County??

contacted only at this point, but I understand that is about the going ratefor central Potter. We have 650 leasable acres with interested neighbors but nothing solid as a group. $400/acre sounds very low.

Tom, since you are still working with Chesapeake to close the deal, do you know what other people have actually gotten from them or other gas companies in the area?? where do you think your deal will close at, starting at $3000?

PGE is the gas company. The inital offer is $400.00 an acre. Are you in a group or going alone. How many acres do you have? How long have you been working with Chesapeake? What part of Potter are you in? I have been told PGE holds all the leases around me. The leases were part of the purchase from North Penn Gas company. PGE rep is telling me thay have paid $600.00 at the most. What are your thoughts?

Bonnie,

Forgot to mention royalty %/length...we are holding out for 18% over 5 years in central Potter. Do you mind saying what company is interested? Our area is getting interest from Chesapeake.
