Sounds the same as ours. Do you have the notification clause in your lease? I'd bet you do.

Some detail in my letter indicates "Butler Operated Area", and there are
two signatures, one from Rex, and another from SEPI. Both logos on letter.

Good point, Geo, my lease does state that we have to be notified. That could be the reason.

Terry W. here (Venango Twp, Northern Butler County, off 58 just West of Eau Clair)
Picked up my certified letter from the post office today. My son, who lives with 1 1/2
miles got his certified, and daughter 1/2 mile got her certified also.

My lease does not state they have to notify me if it is transferred to another party. So, mine came NOT certified. I wander if the landowners that received their letters Certified had it in there leases that they had to be notified of any transfer. So, Rex may have used the Certified letters as proof that those land owners were notified, Just my Guess.

Well, I don't know where Terry W. is but I live in Ohio. Maybe they sent certified to out of state landowners?

Got my notice in the mail today, not certified or registered, regular mail..Wonder why some are certified and others are not?

I got a letter today from Rex but not a registered one. Just a form letter saying closing is expected Sept.9 and lease transfers effective as of July 1. Like Bill said , websites and 800 number to call with questions. Nothing we didn't already know.

Geo, yes it was a certified letter. I had to sign for it
